San Marino, Calif : The Holiday home sold for $3,250,000 in 1998

In the romantic comedy, “The Holiday,” two guy-troubled women (Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz) swap homes for the holidays. In keeping with romantic comedy form, both women find new loves in their new addresses. The house that Diaz swaps into is really a quaint cottage around the English countryside and, unfortunately, out of Zillow’s reach. The swanky abode that Winslet temporarily gets control, however, is really a Wallace Neff designed home found in the small, affluent town of San Marino, Calif.

According to Zillow, the 10,324-sq ft mansion has 9 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms along with a large outdoor pool (also featured in the film). Public record information show the home last sold for $3,250,000 in 1998.

“Totally hooked on Houses” provides a great round-up of interior photos for both homes and, if you are itching to snag the look, provides links to the interior planning sites that helped inspire the dcor for each set.
